{"id":9816,"date":"2025-12-05T00:21:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T23:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lambdanachrichten.at\/?p=9816"},"modified":"2025-12-04T21:42:22","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T20:42:22","slug":"a-sister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lambdanachrichten.at\/?p=9816","title":{"rendered":"A Sister"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Intro<\/strong><br>It\u2018s one of London\u2018s roughest\u00a0places\u00a0<br>Just off the river Thames<br>And it\u2018s got a lot of cases<br>Oh I won\u2018t call any names\u00a0<br>Of crooks, burglars and weird blokes<br>Much violence, drugs and abuse<br>Though also good hard working folks<br>And some who got the blues\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Row, row, row the boat&nbsp;<br>Gently by the stream&nbsp;<br>If you see a crocodile&nbsp;<br>Don\u2018t forget to scream<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Verse 1<\/strong><br>I\u2018ve heard and seen<br>And passed by scenes<br>More or less cool<br>On my way to school\u00a0<br>But made no fuss\u00a0<br>As a teacher of a year 1 class<br>The kids were just five years old<br>Some were shy and some were bold<br>Bright good children \u2013 I\u2018ve hardly scold<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One lovely little boy<br>Was guarded fine and coy<br>His mum used to bring him to school before nine<br>And he was happy to see<br>His sister who picked him up at half past three<br>A nice young woman of 16-18<br>She adored her little brother&nbsp;<br>And looked after him<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One morning during Math, he gazed sadly<br>Then spoke out suddenly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My sister has gone away<br>And did not come back yesterday&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I tried to comfort the little guy&nbsp;<br>\u201eSometimes big sisters go away&nbsp;<br>But they will return some day\u201c<br>He looked on very upset&nbsp;<br>And on intuition just said:<br>\u201eShe\u2018s not coming back\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Verse 2<\/strong><br>Two days later I watched the News at night\u00a0<br>A policemen reported a femicide\u00a0<br>Then \u2013 oh dear, I got this fear..!<br>The boy\u2018s mum did appear<br>On the screen\u00a0<br>Crying she asked if anybody has seen<br>Or heard something\u00a0<br>To please come forward and tell everything\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cos my lovely girl has gone away<br>Now she cannot come back any day<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They found her in a wasteland&nbsp;<br>She was violated and I\u2018m so sad<br>My wonderful daughter is dead<br>And a mother cares to know what happened!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Somebody took my daughter away<br>And did not let her go home any day<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The brave woman carried on to speak<br>In a way she was so meek:<br>Has anyone heard her sighs and painful cries ?<br>Did anybody recognize&nbsp;<br>The agonizing fear in her eyes?<br>Did someone see her feeling lost and <br>lonely ?<br>And, oh if only \u2013<br>A kind spirit has taken her by the hand<br>To guide her into \u201esummerland\u201c&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I urge people PLEASE&nbsp;<br>If you realise anybody being violent&nbsp;<br>Do NOT stay SILENT!<br>All I can say is I can\u2018t find peace<br>Now my daughter has passed away&nbsp;<br>But all the violence&nbsp;<br>Stays alive in the silence!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Verse 3<\/strong><br>A couple of days later the boy returned to school\u00a0<br>Obviously concerned and watchful\u00a0<br>But safe and sound<br>Although his world has turned around\u00a0<br>Let me just put you in the frame\u00a0<br>This London boy was not the same!<br>Sensible but resilient, tough but caring<br>Bold though still fearing<br>Streetwise and smart<br>One day he might take up his part<br>Cos he\u2018ll forever miss her<br>And always will watch out for any sister<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eSo a sister who has gone away<br>Can SAFELY return home any day\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eI help you\u201c, his friend would whisper<br>His classmates got the clue:<br>\u201eWe all help you<br>Cos nobody sinister&nbsp;<br>Should ever harm a sister!\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The boy now brought to school by a neighbour&nbsp;<br>And needed to be even braver<br>Cos no sister came to to take him home<br>This little boy walked all alone &#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Outro<\/strong><br>By a femicide this family\u2018s\u00a0<br>Life was shattered\u00a0<br>Somehow they have to cope<br>Though little children know what matters\u00a0<br>So there is some hope \u2013<br>Please do bother<br>To take care of yourself and one another!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Row row row the boat<br>Gently by the stream<br>If you see a crocodile&nbsp;<br>Don\u2018t forget to scream&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know I might have got you worried<br>As long as still&nbsp;<br>Every 10 min a women is killed in this world I\u2018m sorry&nbsp;<br>But take my word<br>I cannot fail&nbsp;<br>To tell such a tale<br>In full sobriety<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eCos any gender based violence&nbsp;<br>Grows like cancer&nbsp;<br>If society keeps it\u2018s silence!\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>H.
